about

This piece is written as a raucous, tear-your-face off, exhilarating experience for both the audience and the performers. Between the tempo and the meter, there is a constant sense of drive and push forward.
In the opening section, you’re immediately thrust upon a high- speed adventure. With quickly evolving orchestration and melodies moving around from one section to another, the piece never gives you a chance to just settle in and relax. At the following “B section,” the style suddenly changes to much more static harmony and blended timbres, allowing the audience to unexpectedly have a great deal more time to reflect. As the anticipation builds towards the reprise, the pulse intensifies until it explodes back into the unrelenting drive of the opening section.
